Listen on iTunes | Overcast | Spotify | YouTube
As coaches, we may not be directly responsible for our athletes' experiences, but we have the power to positively influence them through our actions. In this episode, JP hosts a discussion with Keith Mayer and his son David. Keith, who has been coaching soccer since 1981, currently holds the position of academy coach at Liverpool FC and David is a part of the Red Wolves club in Utah. Both Keith and David are authors of the book Gold Dust: How to Become A More Effective Coach, Quickly: How to Become a Better Communicator and have also created a podcast by the same name. Together, they bring their wealth of knowledge and experiences to the conversation, shedding light on their coaching journey and the valuable insights they have gained along the way.
- Simplicity is the trademark of genius
- Coaches should be conductors, not soloists
